My Armies

On this page I will show my armies as they are added to the collection and grow. Naturally, only painted models will be allowed on this page. So unfortunately a large part of my collection is not  qualified to been seen yet. These are all to be considered ongoing projects.

6mm Warhammer 40.000

Epic Armageddon is one of my favourite games, and the first edition was actually the very first game I bought and played many years ago. I have several armies and ongoing projects(as in unpainted minis), so more things should be added over time.

Eldar

Tau

Space Marines

Orcs

Tyranids

Imperial Guard

15mm WW2

The first historical game I got into was Flames of War. World War 2 is one of my favourite periods, so it was no surprise I was lured into this game. Over the years I have bought both painted and unpainted miniatures and have a somewhat varied collection. Some years I discovered some of the other WW2 games out there, and quickly fell in love with Chain of Command. So I have started basing and painting troops for that game as well.

Early War Germans

Late War Germans

Late War Russians

10mm Historical

When I first started doing historical mass battles, I decided to go for the 10mm scale. As has been my usual approach to a lot of my projects I bought a lot of different miniatures, but most ended up in drawer waiting to be painted. For now, I only have painted miniatures for 2 periods, but more will surely come.

30 Years War Imperialist

The American Civil War

6mm Ancients

At some point I realised that I was not painting my 10mm historical armies as fast as I had hoped. Since I was painting my 6mm Epic armies somewhat faster, I decided to try and collect 6mm historical armies as well. This worked fine as I found a fellow player who also had 6mm armies so I had an adversary for my own armies.

Ancient Spanish

Early Imperial Romans

28mm Warhammer 40.000

Although I played 40K in my early days, I didn't pick it up again until this year (2020). The reason was twofold. First of all I do not like the aesthetics of a standard size game. Too many troops and large things on too small a table. Second of all I think the core rules are rather boring. I do, however, love the lore of Warhammer 40.000, which is one of the reasons I play a lot of Epic (as well as the much better rules), and admittedly I also love the 28mm miniatures. So in the end I jumped on board the 40K train as well. I do try and play smaller games, as that looks and feels better for me.

Tyranids

Eldar

Chaos Space Marines

28mm historical

I have always had trouble motivating myself to painting miniatures. This is particularly a problem with 28mm figures, as I believe they require more effort than smaller scales. I do, however, like playing various games aimed for 28mm miniatures, one of which is SAGA. I have bought some painted figures from ebay for this period and when I discovered GWs contrast paints, I even managed to paint some myself, so I could field a finished SAGA army.

Normans

Blood Bowl

My brother and I play Blood Bowl almost every week. We collect several teams, and although it is only the two of us, we still try to play leagues or cups, where we alternate controlling the various teams.

Undead

Humans
