My History

This is my world of wargaming. I started the traditional way by playing various GW games in my teens. Then I took a long break in my twenties but returned in 2008 as I was writing my thesis at university. At first, I started playing Warhammer Fantasy Battle again, but soon I also started looking at various other games, both fantasy and sci-fi, but also historical which came as no surprise as I have a huge interest in history, and it was also my major at university.

I am a very easily distracted wargamer, as I tend to jump from project to project, period to period, scale to scale. I am easily tempted when I see or hear about new rulesets. So in short I love to collect miniatures, terrain and books, and I love to play wargames (and games in general). Painting, however, is not one of my favourite activities. I do try, and sometimes I even finish something, but do not expect beautiful painted miniatures or terrain on this blog (unless I bought it like that).

I am starting this blog to motivate myself in my hobby endeavours and to reach out to the global community. There are not many wargamers in my local community, so I also do quite a lot of solo wargaming. Although I am mostly focused on miniatures and wargaming, I occasionally dabble with other games, and I will talk about these as well.
